Understanding an Alert

Every alert NextScalp pushes is facts, math and measured data - never a hyped call. This page shows how to read one.

Two tiers: tradeable vs informational

Not every message is a trade, and the bot never pretends otherwise.

  • Tradeable setup - a high-conviction formation that ships with a full Trade Plan (Entry, Stop, Targets, R:R). Ready to act on in under a minute.
  • Informational alert - a genuine, math-grounded read on market state (a volume spike, an approach, a structural event) that does not clear the bar for a trade. It still informs, but it carries no buy/sell levels.

The hard rule: no Trade Plan means no entry and no targets shown. A purely informational message never invents levels.

Reading it line by line:

  • Category banner (─── SIGNAL ───) - the message type.
  • Header - the formation, direction (🟢 long / 🔴 short) and symbol.
  • Conviction bar (█/░, 1 to 5) - the bot's grade, from Speculative to Strong.
  • Confluence chips - for, against, ~ neutral, across Volume, Flow, order-flow divergence (OFR) and higher-timeframe (HTF) alignment.
  • Price line - live price and the recent move.
  • Smart Insight - a short plain-English read, shown only when there is something notable to surface.
  • Microstructure - the order-flow, order-book and higher-timeframe context behind the grade.
  • Trade Plan - Entry (marked market or limit-only), Stop Loss anchored to real structure, TP1 (usually 1R, move stop to break-even) and TP2, each with R:R.
  • Position size - see below.
  • Validity clock - roughly how long the setup stays valid.

📐 Position size

When you set your account capital and per-trade risk under /settings, every Premium plan adds a size line:

📐 Size: $476 · 1% risk · SL 2.1%

The number comes from the alert's own Stop distance, your saved capital and your chosen risk percentage - not a generic guess. Your capital is never echoed in chat. On a thin market the line adds an honest liquidity caveat (e.g. ⚠️ 2.3% of 24h vol) when the size would be a material share of daily volume. When a message has no Trade Plan, the size line is silently omitted.

Honesty warnings and low-conviction marking

The bot flags its own weak spots, out loud:

  • Honesty warnings - explicit notes like "Entry behind price - wait for pull-back," "Below 1.5R from market," or a volume-node "magnet" warning when a high-volume level sits in the trade's path.
  • Low-conviction marking - when a break setup fails the conviction test (an unfuelled retest, a break against order-flow, a target-less projection) but is still shown for context, the header icon turns neutral and a single "Low conviction" line names exactly why. A ⚠️ CAUTION line can replace the plan entirely.

The buttons under an alert

  • 📊 5m / 15m / 1h - render a structural chart on that timeframe.
  • ℹ️ Info - instant dry stats for the symbol (see /info).
  • 📐 RR @ market - recompute the plan's Risk:Reward at the current live price, to check whether the setup is still tradeable right now (see /ai).
